Fantasy Island Getaway

This spectacular 2-Day adventure covers 80 km on the Thompson River from Ashcroft to Lytton. Trips depart every weekend from mid-July to mid-September taking full advantage of the hot summer weather of BC's interior.

From Ashcroft to our private camp on Fantasy Island, the Thompson boasts beautiful desert scenery and many playful rapids for those who wish to try our inflatable kayaks.

On Fantasy Island you will be hosted to our fabulous gourmet BBQ (including special appetizers and fresh-baked desserts) and an entertaining evening around the campfire; a highlight of every trip. After breakfast the next morning, we head down river to challenge the river's largest rapids including Devil's Kitchen, Cutting Board, The Jaws and much more!

It's truly a weekend designed to awaken the senses; fantastic scenery, roaring waves, and tantalizing meals; all combined with the open air of British Columbia's great outdoors!

Trip Itinerary

Throughout the summer, special dates are designated "EXTRAVAGANZA WEEKENDS!" Enjoy our Fantasy Island 2-Day trip with all the frills. After our first day of rafting, an amazing evening is in store. A delicious NY steak and crab leg feast is followed by campfire entertainment provided by Theatre Sports and more!

PACKING NOTES FOR THOMPSON RIVER MULTI-DAY TRIPS:

Remember to bring your tent, sleeping bag, thermarest and personal belongings packed in soft luggage like a duffel bag. Your gear will be tarped and transported to Fantasy Island, then unloaded on day 2 and transported back to base for you. As space is somewhat limited, no coolers, foamies or large suitcases - and no glass bottles, please!)
