ChilliwackLocated in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, the fast paced Chilliwack River offers exciting rafting from May through July. Considered to be one of the best rivers near Vancouver, the Chilliwack is the perfect day trip. Nestled amongst the mountains of the North Cascades, the Chilliwack drops 10 metres per kilometre, creating numerous long and continuous rapids. Easily accessible and only one hour from the city, the Chilliwack is highlighted by the Tamahi rapids, where training takes place for the Canadian national kayak team. ONE DAY TRIPFed by the melting snow pack of Mount Baker, the Chilliwack River is at its best from May through July and is an exhilarating day trip. Hyak offers the longest rafting trip available, 18 km (12 miles) including the Tamahi, Sawmill and Swamp rapids. Trip includes 4 ½ hours of rafting, riverside buffet lunch, all necessary rafting gear, wetsuits and changing facilities with hot showers. Dates: May 8 - July 18 DEPARTS FROM OUR CHILLIWACK BASEDepart: Adult: Sunday - Friday: $119, Saturday $129 AFTERNOON TRIPPerfect for those who don’t want to devote a whole day to their rafting adventure. This 3 hour trip covers 13 km of the best part of the Chilliwack River including Tamahi, Sawmill and the Swamp rapids. Included in the trip is a riverside snack, wetsuits, all the necessary rafting gear and hot showers at the end of the trip.
