THOMPSON RIVER
Situated in one of the warmest climates in Canada, the Thompson is BC's third largest river. The visually spectacular Black Canyon and the big, powerful rapids are features that only a river of this volume can produce. The Thompson is the ideal one or two day rafting adventure. Highlighted by the lower canyon with 19 major rapids, including the Jaw's of Death, Cutting Board and the Witches Cauldron, the Thompson River is sure to awaken all your senses!

POWER TRIP
Get on a power trip this summer! Blast through the biggest waves on the Thompson and run some of the rapids twice as your guide powers you back up river to challenge them again. Trip covers 36 km and 19 major rapids including favorites like the Devil's Kitchen, Green Monster and the 18th Hole. With our new environmentally sensitive, no smoke, super quiet, 4-stroke motors, it's the best motorized rafting experience available. Include 4 hours of rafting, riverside snack and all necessary rafting gear.

DOUBLE SHOT
PADDLE: Raft the best part of the Thompson Canyon twice in one day! At half time enjoy a hearty lunch while your guides load the rafts back up river for your second run. The double shot is perfect for whitewater junkies who want rapids all day long. This trip totals over 38 major rapids and over 45 km of rafting.
POWER/PADDLE COMBO: Spend your morning power tripping down the Thompson, then after lunch, challenge the rapids a second time in a paddle raft. The combo double shot gives you two unique rafting experiences wrapped up in one awesome day!
Trip includes 5 hours of rafting, buffet style luncheon at the Hyak base, all necessary rafting gear, and all shuttles to the river from our Lytton base.

THE “AFTER-RAFTER” CAMPSITE
Our private campsite is located 1 km north of Lytton, overlooking the Thompson River Valley. Services include 40 individual campsites, RV hook-ups, hot showers, laundry facilities, and a nearby convenience store. The Activities Centre includes a volleyball court, horseshoe pit, campfire area and plenty of picnic tables to accommodate you and your group at our Saturday evening BBQ’s. Our “all-you-can-eat” gourmet barbeque includes appetizers, teriyaki chicken, fresh baked salmon, rice pilaf, vegetables, salads and dessert. After an exciting day on the Thompson, our “After-Rafter” and gourmet barbeque combine to make a perfect summer weekend. It’s a great way to make your one day river trip a complete weekend. Certain weekends are designated theme nights so remember to come dressed for the occasion.

FANTASY ISLAND 2-DAY GETAWAY
This spectacular 2-Day adventure covers 80 km on the Thompson River from Ashcroft to Lytton. Trips depart every weekend from mid-July to mid-September taking full advantage of this regions hot and sunny summer weather. From Ashcroft to our private camp on "Fantasy Island" the Thompson boasts awe inspiring scenery including the grandeur of Black Canyon's sheer lava walls. The upper stretches provide many playful rapids for those who wish to try one of the inflatable kayaks; always a highlight of the trip. We spend the night on Fantasy Island, a unique 5 acre island in the middle of the river. Here there is plenty of time to relax and set up camp while your guides prepare a fabulous gourmet barbeque, including special appetizers and fresh baked desserts. After dinner spend an entertaining evening around the campfire under the starlit skys. After breakfast the next morning, we float through the small town of Spences Bridge, home to several herds of Big Horn sheep. Before lunch the rafts are unloaded and your gear is transported back to our Lytton base, making the rafts light and maneuverable for when we challenge the river's largest rapids. As the river descends to its eventual confluence with the Fraser River, the Thompson narrows and constricts into a deep towering canyon, producing large roller-coaster like waves, some as big as 8 feet. We run all the famous rapids, including the Frog, Devils Kitchen, and the 18th Hole finally arriving in Lytton, completing a perfect weekend. This trip will awaken all of your senses - fantastic scenery, roaring waves, and tantalizing meals, all combined with the open air of British Columbia's great outdoors!

THE SPECTACULAR 3-DAY TRIP
Spend the entire long weekend rafting! This adventure starts at 9:00 am from our Lytton base on Saturday morning. From there you will be transported to our put-in 3 km north of Ashcroft, where your rafting tour begins. From here the river snakes gently down through the village of Ashcroft where the lanscape slowly transforms into deep lava rock formations known as Black Canyon. Through this section you will encounter several class 3 rapids and some of the most dramatic scenery of the trip. The river then becomes wider with many class 2 rapids, a great opportunity to try one of our inflatable kayaks, which are very stable and are always a highlight of the trip. We arrive at our camp on Fantasy Island around 4:00 pm, allowing plenty of time to set up camp and explore this unique 5 acre island. That evening the guides will prepare a salmon and chicken barbeque and top it off with freshly baked deserts cooked in a dutch oven. After breakfast on Sunday morning, we pack up the rafts and paddle down through the village of Spences Bridge. This 8 km section has several class 2 and 3 rapids, another great opportunity for those wanting to paddle an inflatable. Before lunch the gear is unloaded and transported to our Lytton base lightening the rafts for the bigger rapids of the lower section. Sunday afternoon you will experience all the famous rapids of the "Devil's Gorge" from the Frog to the 18th Hole, and arrive back at our Lytton base overlooking the Fraser River. Sunday night we will camp at Jade Springs campsite where there is music, volleyball and another great barbeque dinner awaiting. On Monday we challenge all the best rapids twice, once on a power raft, and once on a paddle raft. On the power trip you will blast through the biggest waves effortlessly, and motor upstream to challenge some of these rapids again. Then after lunch spend the afternoon in a smaller paddle raft, providing yet another unique way to experience the amazing Thompson. This trip has it all, and is an amazing value!

PACKING NOTES FOR THE THOMPSON RIVER MULTIDAY TRIPS:
Remember to bring your tent, sleeping bag, thermarest, and personal belongings packed in soft luggage like a duffel bag. Your gear will be tarped and transported to Fantasy Island, then unloaded on day 2 and transported back to base for you. As space is somewhat limited, no coolers, foamies, or large suitcases please.
